Antonio is an old fishmonger from Catania market, spends his days in solitude and silence, barely remembering how to smile. 

The short film starts and ends by the sea from the sunrise, just like a typical day of Antonio. He usually starts the day with his feet in the sea watching an old photograph of a child with nostalgia, then he sells the fish at the traditional market of Pardo square, never talking or smiling to anyone, and at the end he returns on the beach, with his small wooden chair to see the sun set on the horizon. While he’s watching the sea, the voice of a young girl who is playing with her father draws his attention. The child shyly greets Antonio, who smiles for the first time.
